Role Overview

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Clinical HR Partner serves as a strategic advisor to the business, driving talent, performance, and organizational effectiveness across NorthStar’s growing network. In this role, you will partner closely with clinical and operations leaders across multiple sites in a defined market to support workforce strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and navigate people and organizational challenges. You will bring thoughtful recommendations and perspective, balancing business priorities with practical HR solutions that support business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is energized by building, influencing, and scaling HR practices that directly impact the business. This role offers the opportunity to grow strategic HR partnership capabilities while building strong business acumen in a dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor to assigned clinical and operational leaders (i.e., the Triad), providing guidance on talent, leadership and workforce strategy
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, keeping talent and leadership effectiveness a clear priority

Talent & Leadership Development

  • Partner with leaders to assess talent, build succession plans, and develop high-performing teams
  • Coach leaders through complex performance, engagement, and organizational challenges

Employee Relations (ER) & Risk Management

  • Navigate employee relations matters with sound judgment and a solutions-oriented approach, partnering closely with ER and Legal as needed
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with company policies and procedures, while balancing business needs

Engagement & Retention

  • Drive engagement strategy within assigned areas, including action planning from engagement surveys and targeted retention initiatives
  • Leverage data and insights to inform decisions and improve workforce outcomes

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Support leaders through change, including new start-ups, integrations, and organizational transitions
  • Take a people-first approach to ensure clinicians and leaders feel supported by the organization during times of change

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Talent Development, HR Operations, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and other COEs to deliver cohesive HR solutions
  • Contribute to broader HR initiatives and share best practices across the HR team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, with exposure to employee relations, talent management, or business partnership
  • Experience partnering with leaders in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Healthcare experience preferred, particularly supporting clinical teams
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
