Mr. Spiegel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar. In this role, Mr. Spiegel oversees all aspects of growing NorthStar’s anesthesia care platform and leads the company in its commitment to delivering solutions for the hospitals and surgery centers NorthStar serves.Mr. Spiegel brings more than 20 years of business development and operations experience within the healthcare industry. Prior to joining NorthStar, he served as Executive Vice President of Provider Growth at Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. Before his time at Optum, Mr. Spiegel spent more than 15 years at The Advisory Board Company, where he served in a number of different capacities, primarily focusing on general management, new product launches, and go to market strategies.Mr. Spiegel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and his Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business.

Ms. Barkett is the Chief Operating Officer at NorthStar Anesthesia where she focuses on provider recruitment, ongoing client operations across NorthStar’s national footprint, and acquisition growth strategy. Prior to joining NorthStar, Ms. Barkett served as a Vice President at Cranemere, a permanent capital holding company. Prior to Cranemere, she spent over ten years at the Advisory Board Company in a variety of roles including corporate strategy, Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO, and Revenue Cycle general management. She has an MBA from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Barkett resides in the District of Columbia with her husband, John Barkett, and their two daughters

As a board-certified, fellowship trained, practicing cardiac anesthesiologist, Dr. Kaddoum has worked throughout his career to elevate patient care and the clinician experience. Since joining the NorthStar team in 2015, Dr. Kaddoum has been renowned for his ability to strengthen teams and culture at our sites, enabling his leaders to do what they do best. Having served on the ASA Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) committee, he is respected by his peers and colleagues for constantly exemplifying a One Team approach to leadership.

Randy is NorthStar’s National Chief Anesthetist Officer. In this role, Randy oversees all CRNA services including staffing, recruiting, retention, and operational deployment of our teams. Randy has extensive experience in leadership development in the field of anesthesia care and has a proven track record for building strong leadership teams at the local and executive levels. He most recently served as the CEO of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), during which time he led significant transformational changes for the organization. A strong proponent of patient safety and clinical leadership, Randy has served on the Boards of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, Council on Surgical and Perioperative Safety, and the AANA. In addition to his clinical and healthcare management experience, Randy has over 22 years of military service in the US Army, Army Reserve, and Illinois National Guard. Prior to his retirement at the rank of Major, Randy served as an infantryman, combat medic, and as an active duty CRNA providing combat surgical care with the Forward Surgical Teams in Afghanistan. Randy has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from The University of Alabama, an MBA from Southern Illinois University, an MSN (anesthesia concentration) from Bradley University, and a BSN from Northern Illinois University.

Dr. Lumbley has 15 years of experience as a practicing physician and holds a master's degree in Business Operational Excellence from The Ohio State University. Dr. Lumbley was previously a fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science informing congressional health policy and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Physician Services and Chief Medical Officer for NorthStar's North Division. As National Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Lumbley will oversee the implementation and management of critical processes across NorthStar to drive successful outcomes for our patients, while also managing all CMS quality reporting.

Jonathan brings nearly 20 years of healthcare experience to NorthStar and joins from the Health Management Academy where he served as CFO. Prior to HMA, Jonathan served as Managing Director of Strategy, Operations, and Data Analytics at Optum Insight, a $10B division of Optum and United Health Group, and as Head of FP&A of the Advisory Board Company where he also helped lead the sell-side strategy of the organization. Jonathan started his career at Abbott Laboratories where he held a number of financial management, finance, and accounting roles.
Jonathan earned a BS in Management from Purdue University with concentrations in Finance, International Business, and Economics.

Mr. Shin has been a trusted advisor to hospital executives and senior healthcare professionals for more than 25 years. As Chief Growth Officer, Mr. Shin will work closely with local and regional market teams to identify unique opportunities to expand NorthStar's client base around the country.

Graduating cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas, Ms. Geary earned a BS in Business Administration/Accounting. She also attended Texas A&M University-Commerce where she earned a Masters of Business Administration degree. Ms. Geary is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified in Healthcare Compliance. She is an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association. She has 30 years of progressive management, corporate accounting and compliance experience with an emphasis in business start-ups, venture capital and asset management.

Mr. Banks brings 25 years of healthcare IT and information security leadership experience to his role, including expertise in systems design, systems implementation, security policy, security operations management, and data center and cloud operations. He has built and managed diverse teams, integrated acquisitions, and led large-scale technology and security transformations, all while partnering with business leaders in healthcare to define and implement a technology strategy that supports organizational priorities.Eric oversees the IT and Information Security programs at NorthStar and works closely with leaders throughout NorthStar to show how technology can lead results and add tremendous value throughout the organization.

Karen is NorthStar's Chief Legal Officer, utilizing her 25+ years of experience advising technology and health care companies to guide NorthStar’s legal and risk management functions. She joined NorthStar in 2019, after more than a decade at pharmacy technology and services provider Mirixa Corporation, culminating in its sale to Cardinal Health. Prior to entering the health IT arena, Ms. Litsinger ran the transactional practice at America Online, Inc. through its formative years. She has also served as a partner at Sonneschein (now Dentons), an associate at Arent Fox, and an active member of multiple nonprofit Boards. Ms. Litsinger received her J.D. from Georgetown University School of Law (cum laude) and her A.B. from Duke University (cum laude).

Chad is NorthStar’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, he oversees all aspects of people, culture, and talent management. Chad has 15 years of strategic HR and leadership experience with deep expertise in recruiting, performance management, talent management, employee relations, mergers and acquisitions, global HR, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, and change management. He most recently led Human Capital for a major division at Optum, a UnitedHealth Group company. He has previously served in HR and recruiting leadership roles at the Advisory Board Company and KPMG. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and is based in Washington, DC.

Abby is a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience translating business vision into impactful marketing and brand strategies. She has led marketing efforts across Fortune 100 companies, management consulting firms, creative agencies, and investor-backed organizations.
Before joining NorthStar Anesthesia, Abby held leadership roles at Cranemere Healthcare Services, Proud Moments, and Northwell Health, where she spearheaded digital engagement and customer loyalty initiatives. Her expertise spans strategic planning, digital marketing, healthcare branding, and innovation, leveraging research, analytics, and technology to drive growth and engagement.
She holds an MBA from Yale School of Management, an MPH from Yale School of Public Health, and a BA from Cornell University.

Dan is the Chief Technology Officer at NorthStar. His 35-year career includes leadership roles in technology, consulting, and operations. Previously, Dan has served as technology and operations consultant and interim COO to technology startups in multiple industries. He worked for more than 20 years at the Advisory Board Company, overseeing technology services for a portfolio of products serving health systems nationwide. He also led consulting engagements in operational and financial services for major US health systems. As NorthStar CTO, Dan guides technology and operational transformation strategy. He earned an MS in Information Technology from The George Washington University and a BA from Wesleyan University.
